Retribution

I've enjoyed two nights of raiding. Tuesday was a visit to Gruul. Many in my guild were surprised to see me geared out for ret, but I was welcomed & cheered in my new role. The Hammer of the Naaru dropped, but having Gorehowl I wasn't exactly hoping to be given it. Our guild assigns based upon 'need' in theory. However, noone wanted it and folks were stepping up in vent & guild chat saying I should have it. As I feared, it would haunt me once we moved to Gruul himself.

Gruul dropped the tier 4 token for legs. I had the worst gear of those interested in the token, but was passed over. I'm certain that getting the hammer is what swung it. (joke)

Ret is very dependent on specialized gear. I think arena & tokens are going to be the most important to me. DPS armor is all stamina & strength, I'm not likely going to see any plate which will be that useful...I might consider speaking up for mail, since there are varieties of mail that shamans & hunters like, which would be well suited for retribution.

My focus too is raiding, so the difference between plate & mail isn't that great.

Now to just find a group to run Blood Furnace again & again so I can get that darn libram from the Maker...
